Fern Maybee
Fern Maybee trained as a nutritional therapist at the Institute
for Optimum Nutrition in London. She devises individually tailored
nutritional programmes, fully supported by eating plans, recipes
and other tips that make implementing changes to the diet easy.Research
is continuing to show that good nutrition can have a fundamental
effect on our health. What we eat plays a large role in determining
our internal environment, promoting health or illness.
Nutritional therapy encourages dietary, supplement and lifestyle
measures to help strengthen the body’s defence and repair
mechanisms and rectify any biochemical imbalances that may be contributing
to ill health. It does not adopt a ‘one size fits all’
approach as each person’s needs are different, depending on
factors such as age and health history.
A wide range of health problems can be helped by nutritional therapy,
including digestive disorders, obesity, weight gain, hormonal problems,
menopausal symptoms, joint and inflammatory disorders, osteoporosis,
fatigue, anxiety and low energy. In addition, it can be used to
help to maintain good health or to improve physical performance.
It is also suitable for babies and children.
