Our Practitioners

Hugh Hurst established Clifton Chiropractic Clinic in 1988 after graduating from the Anglo-European College of Chiropractic.

For more than 30 years he has enjoyed helping patients improve their health and well-being with chiropractic treatment. His interests in chiropractic include treating babies and the very young as well as much older patients.

He is one of fewer than 20 chiropractors in the country to hold a Post-Graduate Masters’ Degree in Clinical Chiropractic from Portsmouth University. He is the only chiropractor in full-time practice in the world to hold a Professional Doctorate Degree in Chiropractic (DChiro) from Portsmouth University. He is a Fellow of the Specialist Faculty of Pain and a Member of the Specialist Faculty of Paediatrics in the Royal College of Chiropractors.

With a special interest in spinal rehabilitation he established Bristol’s first spinal rehabilitation gym for supervised exercise in 1998. He is a fellow of the Specialist Faculty of Chiropractic Orthopaedics and Rehabilitation. He has the same Rehabilitation Gym Equipment at Clevedon Chiropractic Clinic.

In 2006 Hugh was made a Fellow of the British Chiropractic Association in recognition of the work he has done for the Association. He is President of the Alumni of the AECC University College and was a member of their Board of Governors for 11 years. He travels and lectures extensively in Britain and abroad, keeping abreast of current developments in the management of back and neck pain. He was made a Fellow of the European Academy of Chiropractic in the field of Orthopaedics and Rehabilitation in 2007.

We are open from 8am until 12.30 on Tuesdays and Fridays, 2pm until 7pm on Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays and on Saturday mornings from 9am until 1pm.
